Spedimex with a new logistics warehouse in Zgierz
Spedimex has launched warehousing operations in a newly opened facility located in the Hillwood Zgierz I park. The warehouse with an area of 25 000 m² ensures convenient storage and distribution of goods, thanks to its location near the A2 motorway.
The new warehouse replaced the existing space in Stryków, intended for customer service in the beauty industry. The building with a larger cubic capacity enables further development of the project. Spedimex's logistics space is 25 000 m², with a total building area of 58 000 m². In addition, the Spedimex zone is equipped with 20 docks and 1 technical ramp from level 0, which enables efficient logistics operations. The warehouse also has 700 m² of social and office space, which will be commissioned in the second quarter of this year.
The new warehouse means not only a larger storage area, but also more employees. Currently, the project is operated by a team of over 130 people, and soon the number of its members will increase to nearly 200.
- The change of location was inevitable, because the development of the project required the expansion of the area for its service - confirms Jarosław Jung, branch manager. We are pleased that we can offer more jobs and use environmentally friendly construction in our operations.
The building has a BREEAM quality certificate at the Excellent level, confirming its pro-ecological character. The building uses LED lighting, which saves energy. There are also parking spaces for vehicles used in the car sharing system on the investment site. Parking spaces for bicycles are also planned, so that employees can use alternative means of transport.
