Spedimex has implemented SoftPOS - an application for quick contactless payments

June 24, 2022

The Spedimex company has implemented a tool that enables quick cashless payments. The solution based on the PIN on Glass system allows Spedimex drivers to accept contactless payments on a courier device - in this case the Zebra TC56, equipped with a proximity sensor (NFC).

The use of the SoftPOS application allows you to replace the traditional payment terminal with an application installed on a courier device. As a result, drivers can accept contactless payments without a separate POS terminal. The solution streamlines the delivery of shipments processed by the operator within the part of the so-called "home delivery" including electronics, home appliances, and bicycle industries.

- Mobile and convenient cash-on-delivery payments are essential in the process of deliveries to individual customers. SoftPOS definitely meets these criteria, which results in a way faster service for e-consumers, enabling payments to be made in just a few seconds - emphasizes Michał Wochna, COO at Spedimex.

Confirmation of the transaction is sent to the customer by SMS or e-mail - without the need for paper printouts. At the same time, the ability to integrate SoftPOS with the delivery application makes this solution useful and easy to implement.

An important attribute of the technology used is also maintaining the highest security standards, confirmed by certificates released by payment organizations, including Mastercard and VISA.

Support for contactless transactions was launched thanks to the integration of the transport application and the SoftPOS application from PayTel. SoftPOS PayTel accepts all types of contactless payments made with Visa and Mastercard, as well as devices with the enabled Apple Pay or Google Pay service.
